Matt Cross is the Liberal Member for Davidson, representing Sydney’s North Shore and parts of the Northern Beaches in the NSW Parliament. He was elected in March 2023.

Before politics
Before his election, Matt worked across the corporate and not-for-profit sectors — including roles at The George Institute for Global Health, KPMG Australia and the Property Council of Australia. He also advised two NSW Premiers, Barry O’Farrell AO and Mike Baird AO.

In the community
Matt is a Director of St Ives Rotary Club and a supporter of Lifeline Australia and Bowel Cancer Australia. A keen runner, he has completed marathons in Sydney and New York City and trekked the Kokoda Trail in 2017, and plans to run his eighth marathon in 2026 for Bowel Cancer Australia.
Health advocacy
In 2024, Matt was diagnosed with and treated for bowel cancer. He is a strong advocate for regular health check-ups and encourages everyone over 45 to take up free bowel cancer screening.
Matt lives in Lindfield with his wife Gessika and their baby son.
