The Davidson electorate has existed in the NSW Parliament since 1971. It takes in much of the Ku-ring-gai local government area and part of the Northern Beaches, sitting within the federal electorates of Bradfield and Mackellar.

The contemporary electorate incorporates the former NSW seats of Ku-ring-gai and Gordon. Its previous members are:
